9470.0. "Expanded command line limit increased yet?" by MANM01::JOELJOSOL () Thu Apr 10 1997 23:03
I've got two problems:
1. My customer has migrated its 200,000 small files from an Ultra
Workstn to a 4100 running DUV3.2G. It takes very long to do an ls.
Their scripts fail on the 4100.
2. They run a 'for i' loop in the directory and does 'grep' and all
return 'no space'.
I've noted that this has been a problem with DUV3.2G. I've done a
defragment but it has not helped substantially. Has this been
fixed on DUV4.0x? Also, the limit of our expanded command line,
have we increased the limit in DUV4.0x?
This is for a telco customer receiving hundreds of thousands of
small messages.

Please run sys_check...you present far to little data for
anyone to guess what is going on...
