    At one of our UUCP customer locations, the file system does not get
    purged because of the following error :
    
    rmdir: /var/spool/uucp/public/receive
    
    file exists
    
    UUCP mail works fine, the mails are delivered and received by the uucp
    client and server but, because of the said error, the file system does
    not get purged and the partition gets full.
    
    
    Any Clue ?
