9438.0. "Questions about format of named.stats" by MUNICH::CUZUM () Wed Apr 09 1997 03:23

Hi, folks,

a customer sends me his /usr/tmp/named.stats file and wonders why it
looks that bad, comparing it with named.stats files from other Unix
machines (HP-UX, for example). The fields of named.stats aren't
explained anywhere for Digital Unix. Do you know, where he can find a
description of the fields in /usr/tmp/named.stats ?

His HP-UX named.stats file looks like this:

### Tue Apr 1 12:02:24 1997
2923765 time since boot (secs)
373546 time since reset (secs)
695718 input packets
695718 output packets
697238 queries
719 iqueries

14026 MX queries
1 TXT queries
132 AXFR queries
28 MAILB queries

His dUnix named.stats-file looks like this and he can't understand the
meaning of the last lines. Can you explain, why it looks like that or if
this is ok. I've never seen a similar named.stats file:

Can anyone explain this or tell me where this is documented?

Best regards,
