9419.0. "Why do I get a copy of sent mail ?" by TAMIR::LANDSBERG (Internets success will also be its downfall) Mon Apr 07 1997 19:12

    Hi,

When a customer of mine uses the Mail(mailx), he gets a copy of
    the mail he sends.

    Why is that ?

There are several variables that a user can set in their own ~/.mailrc. Setting
metoo would give the results described in .0.

Check these files:
  $HOME/.mailrc
  /usr/share/lib/Mail.rc

The first is the user's preference and the second is a system-wide preference.
The user's preference file can be used to override the system preferences.

See man mailx for more info.

    Thanks for that,

There was a metoo set in one of the login scripts. Now all is OK.
