I have a 2 node TrueCluster configuration which I am adding two storage arrays containing redundant HSZ50 controllers. Each of the 2 nodes has an existing HSZ40 arrary on each. At the 4100 console prompt I get identical unit device numbers showing on the shared SCSI buses for each HSZ50. But when I boot the systems using the generic kernel the HSZ40 device numbers are reversed with the HSZ50 device numbers in the boot log on one of the systems. I did run MAKEDEV or SCSIMGR before booting. Am I missing a configuration step or is there a conflict somewhere?

The bus numbers are probably switched. Make sure the console bus_probe_algorithm is to "new" on both systems and make sure the kernels are build with the bus numbers the same (in the config file). Fred Knight |
