9398.0. "cross-compile optiond for Digital unix" by MAIL1::GHAHRAMANI () Fri Apr 04 1997 18:43
I am responding to an RFI for Lucent Technologies that has requested
the following:
1. Much of the software is developed on Sun workstations and on PCs.
Describe any cross-compile development options for your product.
Do we have any such options with Digital Unix development tools?
2. They want to be able to package their software with a development
environment for their customers to be able to integrater it with their
ow custom software tools. therefore, Lucent is asking for a
description of configuration and pricing for a package containing the
Digital Unix development environment software. (Their exampls are :a
workstation-based cross-compile environment, or alternatively a simplex
compile server machine that is binary compatible with the product).
Does Digital have special packaging for the situation described above,
basically Lucent does not want to have their customers have to buy a
full-scale, costly configuration to be able to run the development
environment. Would DECFuse+development Environment+C++ satisfy this
request? If there is aminimum config that would be recommended to
satisfy this request from a software point of view, please let me know.
Thank you in advance.
