I have a client, who is running Digital unix v3.2G. His printers are locking
up and he needed to re boot the system, to get them going. It has been found,
that his lpd is terminated before the filter, which was still running with the
channel open on the device.
So now he just kills the filter and the printer is fine.
Any ideas what can be causing this?
He is using KYOCERA 3440 printers ( amongst others, none digital ) attached to
lat.
Did anybody see something like this before? Any idea why the parent should
dies first?
Thanks in advance for all responses.
