9310.0. "shutdown -r in cron halts the machine" by HGOVC::YYLEE () Wed Mar 26 1997 22:02
Hi,
Our Digital UNIX 3.2C has some problem invoking 'shutdown -r now'
command in cron , intermittenly the scheduled reboot becomes a'halt'
operation, the machine halts in console prompt >>>. No crash dump
was obtained. But the case is definitely different with that describe
in note 3701., we could complete the shutdown, but it seems that the
reboot was not done.
Any experiences or advices? Thanks in advance.
YY Lee
