Is there any way to query a dunix system to find what version of RIP
it is running?
If not, is there a table or reference that would show the RIP version
for various versions of the OS?
Does this make sense?
thanks,
Al

not sure what version you're looking for, but in
/usr/include/protocols/routed.h
there's
#define RIPVERSION 1

Thanks on .1
someone else pointed out that the version of RIP is included in the
packet, so if you have a chart on the packet format, you can run
tcpdump or some sniffer and pull it.
I couldn't find anything using snmp. I was hoping that the version
would be included in a MIB variable somewhere...no such luck
