Customer just upgraded his 8200 from 4.0A to 4.0B. At boot, gets messages: isp1 at pci0 slot 1 isp1: QLOGIC ISP1040 - Differential Mode isp1: Firmware revision 2.10 (loaded from driver) cam_logger: CAM_ERROR packet cam_logger: bus 1 isp_init NVRAM parameters invalid, using driver Fast10 defaults isp1: Failed to enable fast RAM timing. scsi1 at isp1 slot 0 Installed the latest 4.0B patch kit (at least OSF410-405045 - isp1020 patch) which eliminated other errors he was getting, but not these. The machine has 3 other isp busses, all ISP1020s. Only the ISP1040 is showing these messages. I had him upgrade the firmware to the latest as well as rerunning ECU. No changes. Ideas appreciated. -Jason [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

9255.1 | Use eeromcfg-Utility | FURKA::"[email protected]" | Frank Linker | Tue Mar 25 1997 07:35 | 12 |
Hi Jason, I had the same problem at an A100a. There I have to use "isp1020_edit -sd" to reset the ISP1020A to it's factory defaults. Durin my search at internal Altavista ( altavista.pa.dec.com ) for keyword "nvram parameters invalid", I found an article to use the command "eeromcfg" at a TurboLaser to fix that problem. May that help ya ! Greets Frank MCS Stuttgart, Germany [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
