Hello Alphastation 400 4/233 at one of our partner site can't boot after V3.8 firmware upgrade. He applied firmware upgrade V3.8 and can't boot now. They have three external disks with openVMS V7.0, Digital UNIX V3.2C and Digital UNIX V4.0. They all fail when trying to boot from them. SRM Console V6.3-4 ARC Console 4.49 VMS PAL x1.46-2 Serial rom 4.6 diag rom 1.2 He tried using the new method, to upgrade the firmware. should he try booting with the firmware CD by specifying the boot file name, as we used to do earlier with firmware CD's. Someone else at Digital was able to resolve this for them. PCI parity needed to be turned off, and they're happy campers now. -- Chuck Newman |
