| trace is a PD program to monitor system calls.
it should be on gatekeeper, if you perform a title search inhere,
you should find other pointers too. take a look which version you're
getting, ther are some floating around having some differences in the
system call numbering (>180). compare it to the syscall list generated
in /sys/BINARY.
if you don't find it, aosf manager list points to
ftp://ftp.ccc.nottingham.ac.uk/pub/unix/examples/trace.tar.gz
even easier if you've got the SVE kit sysv developers extensions
installed use the truss command, which does essentially the same.

| do an altavista NOTES search on this conference for "truss".
You get a supported version if you install the System V stuff
on Digital UNIX, and there was a pointer to the public domain
version.

| SVE requires a license. Therefore, since truss is in SVE, then yes, you
do need a license.

I have installed SVE and truss work fine, but when I try to trace a
Oracle Form that It was what I wanted to do I get the following error:
Psetrun:Operation would block
truss: cannot start subject process
Psetrun:Operation would block
Oracle asked me that I get a "trace -o" in my system because the Oracle
trace don't produce enough information.
