hi,
I have a conceptual problem a customer noticed and that I can't explain.
The root login in the file /etc/passwd has uid 0 and gid 1 (=daemon).
When root logs in and performs a 'id' command it states that his groupid is
1. Nevertheless, when he creates a file (or whatever) he sees that the group
has changed in 'system'.
In the /etc/group the root login is no part of group daemon but of group
system. How do I explain this change of group to the customer ?
see you,
