Hi a customer is using a digiboard PC/XEM 16 serial ports on a AXP 400 with Digital Unix v3.2g. All is working well, indeed terminal connected to new serial port can login. He have to connect to some serial ports a device working only at low speed (<2400 baud). So he has written an application program to set device ttya16s to 1200 baud using IOCTL but this doesn't work. The same program works well on /dev/tty01 system serial port. Using stty command he can change the speed, he can see the new speed, but the serial port still stays at 9600 (default speed for the Digiboard interface). Has anybody hints? Thanks and best regards Anna Della Pergola

Do they have any documentation that says what baud rates Digiboard supports? Maybe they don't support baud rates as low as 1200 baud. You might have to contact Digiboard. --dennis [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
