Hi! When display decterm, we can,t not get decterm Unable to get pty! There are so many tty&pty under /dev directory. thanks

This is typically caused by two things: a hole in the name space; that is, a special file is missing for a minor number. To see the major/minor numbers do ls -l /dev/tty* The devices you are interested in are those with major number = 6. The second thing that can typically cause this problem is not enough pty configured in the kernel. Question: is decterm the only application that is failing? (i.e., Do rlogins work?) |
