When you run nfs from CDE it asks you about the property list. Can someone please explain it. Thanks. Tammy

One can add "properties" to files in the newer release of D-UNIX. The most commonly used property is an ACL. The proplistd daemon allows D-UNIX systems to exchange the ACLs associated with NFS- mounted files. There was some conversation about syncing with Sun's implementation of ACLs-on-NFS, but I don't know how that concluded. My knowledge is theoretical ("scanty"), so I can't offer any specifics ;-) -andy |
