9110.0. "Remote reset capability with Control-P" by DECWET::MARTIN () Tue Mar 11 1997 14:02
On both Cobras and TurboLasers I know there's the capability of halting the
system by typing <ctrl-p> at the console.
For Sables/Lynxes and Mikasas, I've found a "controlp" console variable that
according to the manuals determines whether or not you can cause OpenVMS to halt
by hitting <ctrl-p> at the console. Is it possible for Digital UNIX to have the
same capability? Is there some hardware switch I'm missing?
Or is this just one of those things that ain't supported in certain kernels but
is supported in others?
