How annoying! The /etc/zoneinfo/sources files are not taken into account during an upgrade like any other user likely to modify file. So that my change for NSW was lost! Bummer! For all those afraid to change the file http://nonull.sno.dec.com/patches/australasia put the file in /etc/zoneinfo/sources cd to the directory then zic australasia and your time will be fixed. The version number is out of date on this file thought the data is correct for NSW. This file was fetch from munnari.oz.au (melb uni) dated in Jan 1996 I have a file version 7.27 from NetBSD source through this did not compile with zic. I suspect that the NetBSD one would be more upto date at least the maintainor updated the version number. When I get it to compile I'll put that on nonull as well. ps. How can we get this into 4.0C. I don't what another round of all Digital UNIX systems in NSW being out of wack again. At least not if it can be helped. Cheers mark :) [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]
