9057.0. "panic without crash?? Just Startup?" by MDR01::CARRANZ (MCS Madrid) Thu Mar 06 1997 13:56
Hello
Is there out anybody who could confirm me if a system startup, without either
shutdown sequence before or "init 0" command before, has to be considered a
panic.
Thereis no error entry just before neither syslog.dated/*log nor
shutdown action into "/var/adm/messages".
I have looked at customer cron an thereisn't any entry.
I have done a reboot sequence or shutdown sequence test and it is
registered by binlogd into binary.errlog, the "init 0" sequence is registered
by syslog.dated/date_directory/syslog.log.
Is there any other log file where could i look for any information.
Thereis no panic entry into binary.errlog, just the "System Startup",
no crash, no panic string.
This is a very critical customer that has other additional problem,
like mem problem.
At the moment the other panic have had a panic/trace where to look at.
This is the first time there's not any log entry, so any help which
bring me any idea will be very appreciate.
The customer configuration is:
2 * 4100
DU 3.2F
ASE 1.3
Any adittional information anybody need, please let me know and i'll
post here.
Thanks in advance,
Carmen Arranz.
