The following question came up today: Q1: Is it legal for TCP/IP to have a shorter than default netmask? (i.e. IP address 192.168.1.11, Netmask 255.255.0.0) Q2: Is this supported with Digital UNIX? Thank's & Regards, Arnold

Q1 : yes it is. Q2 : not yet. VMS do not support it. As for other OS I don't know, sorry. Pascal |
