Do I need to rebuild the kernel after an upgrade from 300MHz 8400 to 440MHz 8400? In other words is that still the same processor keyword with the new boards? I assume that if I knew the new keyword (if it is new indeed) then I would be able to build the new kernel in advance by hand and just order the hardware engineer to boot from it after the hardware upgrade. Any comments? Would anybody with access to one of those machines care to look it up? A more general question: Is ther an easy way to find out all the processor keywords supported by a given release of DU and how to match it with hardware? Chris Jankowski Melbourne Australia

Chris, You do not need to rebuild your kernel. Your existing kernel should run just fine (only faster!). Mark Parenti UEG | |||||
