Running ASE version 1.4 on dec 3000 with 4.0B unix OS.

when i disconnect the network cable from the standby machine,
the script ni_status_awk on the master machine is not running.

Note that there is just one network between the systems, and 
the interfaces defined as monitored.

Any idea will be appreciated.

Have you looked in the smurf::ase notesconference? 

If yes, and haven't found anything similar, you should ask over there.
