Hi, A customer wants to make some statistics of his system, but cannot see the disks that aren't on the lun 0 (i.e. lun 1) on an HSZ40 with the "iostat" command. Is there any qualyfier that he should use to see them ? Thanks in advance, J.M. Bernat.

Has he tried specifying the disks to look at? The default behavior of "iostat" is to only show statistics on the first 4 devices. Check the man page for more details. --Ken | |||||

Hi, I believe, to make iostat to work right, you need to have the disks listed in your kernel. So, build yourself a kernel with the stuff similar to the following one. And us #iostat rzb8 rzc9 4 kind of syntax Make sure you stick right stuff in the kernel, not exactly, whats listed... device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 64 device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 65 device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 66 device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 67 device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 68 device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 69 device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 70 device disk rz8 at scsi1 drive 71 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 72 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 73 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 74 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 75 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 76 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 77 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 78 device disk rz9 at scsi1 drive 79 -Sri [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
