I have one request from our customer who just bought 4 8400 and 10 4100 for HPC applications. This customer used to be a CRAY user. He will use this servers for very long computation time sessions and he asks us if we have some kind of checkpoint system. This means that we need to memorise all the state of the server at one time, shutting down the system and restarting the system at the exact point of that time. I know that this functionnality does not exist in Digital Unix but is there any plan for such a feature. Now that we are credible again in the scientifique calculation this kind of functionnality should be very usefull. Thank you for any information [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]
