I customer brought up something interesting. In the 4.0b release
notes page 2-6 adn 2-7 it first talks about isntallupdate from
4.0 or 4.0a to go to 4.0b. That section applies to update
procedure. Well 2.4.2 talks about having to run convauth. Since
someone at 4.0 should already have the new auth.db, isnt this
confusing.. I would assume that you would not need to run convauth
unless coming from 3.2X, but you cant go to 4.0b from 3.2X

I think it's just an accidental leftover when we moved the release notes from V4.0/V4.0a to V4.0b. But, you don't have to run convauth for Enhanced Security to keep working. So, there may be people who didn't run it for V4.0/V4.0a who might want to for V4.0b. In this case having the instructions in the release notes would be useful. [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
