Hi
I have a customer who is running DU4.0b and a NIS/C2 environment. He
has upgraded to DU 4.0B from 3.2C in the same enviroment and has around 7000
user accounts (It's a small uni). He has only one NIS server (4.0b) and no NIS
Slaves.
His problem is that when someone logs in it takes over 20 seconds to
be
logged in. He upgraded the machine and brought the time down from 25 to 20
seconds.
Is this normal , any hints etc would be appreicated.
Thanks
Adrian

See section 4.5.7.1 of the 4.0b Release Notes for an explanation
of why this occurs.
