The V4.0B release of Digital UNIX added support of the Field Replacable Unit packet (ie FRU). The platform support code checks for the availablity of the information via the HWRPB. If the pointer is not valid the FRU table is not logged in the binary error log. The system must have the correct version of firmware for the 1000A to enable the feature. There is also a console enviromental variation that must be set "fru_table on" to have the table logged. The message is reporting the status of the log for the service engineers.
