8746.0. "How to re-enable segmentation from secsetup" by SNOFS1::IPSSG_FL () Fri Feb 07 1997 02:13

    I have enabled "enhanced" security on my Digital Unix V4.0a system by
    executing the procedure /usr/sbin/secsetup. During the "secsetup", I
    have also disabled the segmentation.

    Now, I need to reneable it to test something. I re-executed the
    secsetup but it did not gove me the option to re-enable the
    segmentation.

    From the Tima/Stars, one of the articles mentioned that I could enable
    segmentation by adding the following line to the /sys/conf/[HOST]. That
    article was referred by OSF V3.0

	    	segmentation 0

    Does it still valid for V4 ?

    Thanks and Regards
    Felix

The segmentation entry is now in the /etc/sysconfigtab. You should use
/sbin/sysconfidb(8) to update or remove the vm-segmentation attribute
in the vm subsystem. You have to reboot for the change to take effect.
