Hello,
I'm installing NetBSD V1.2. I'm at the "Configure" command
where the network configuration is done. It asks:
What is this machine's hostname? [unkown.host.domain]
I enter - dnbeat.mko.dec.com
It returns:
What domain is this machine in (this is NOT its YP domain
name)? [mko.dec.com]
Anybody have an idea what it is looking for?
Thanks,
Maddy

This really isn't the right conference for the question though I can't really think of a better one. mko.dec.com is the right answer for the second question. It's trying to figure what DNS domain you are in so it configure the resolv.conf properly. I would suggest subcsribing to the [email protected] mailing list or looking at the comp.unix.bsd.netbsd.misc newsgroup. | |||||
