8642.0. "Anyway to ignore icmp routing redirects?" by CSC32::B_GRUBBS () Wed Jan 29 1997 17:20
Dunix 3.2c, 3.2d, and 4.0
Customer wants to know if routing redirects can be disabled.
ie make the system ignore them.
They claim that they have a system sitting on someone elses network
that they provide routing services to and they dont want the DUNIX
box to EVER use anything but the statically defined routes.
I know, I know. I talked to them about the problems the network is
having if the redirects are not correct, but they insist they want to
ignore it because the majority of 'the network' out there is not under
their controal, and they are impacted by it.
Any way at all to disable this?
thanks,
