Hi
I have a customer who has been running du4.0a for a few months quite
happily. Over the past weekend he changed all his ip numbers and now he gets
a huge delay when he tries to ftp in to his machine. He can telnet ok, ftp out
from this machine, he just can't ftp in. From the machine He can't ftp to
localhost, 0, or the machine name without the delay, nor can he ftp into the
machine from any other machine As far as I can see all his host files named
files (this machine is a name server) look ok. This machine is also using
fta0.
Any help on finding this delay would be appreciated.
Thanks
Adrian Morrisson

| Hi.
Just in case any one decides to reply. The answer was no localhost entry
in the host files (I missed this on the first pass) OK now . The delay must
have
been the NS looking up it's localhost entry
