Hi, I have installed from scratch Digital Unix v3.2G and Mentor Graphics application version b.1. when trying to activate dmgr i get the following : // Fail: OUT OF MEMORY - Assertion (new_space) failed. Line 385 of "Isrc/core_pagetable.C" /home/mentor/mgc_home/bin/dmgr: 1332 Abort When trying to activate 'librarian' i get the following : // Fail: OUT OF MEMORY - Assertion (new_space) failed. Line 385 of "Isrc/core_pagetable.C" /home/mentor/mgc_home/bin/dmgr: 1332 Abort forrtl: info: fortran error message number is 76 forrtl: warning: could not open message catalog for_msg.cat forrtl: info: check environment variable NLSPATH and protection of /usr/lib/nls/msg/en_US.ISO8859-1 Note that the application is running when sitting on PC as an X-terminal. I had this same problem with an AlphaStation 500 running Mentor. I increased the swap, I added more memory but nothing fixed it. The good news however was that Mentor tech support after two weeks found the answer for me. The installed graphics card was an L2 and changing the Xserver.conf to include, if my memory serves me correctly, the arg "-vclass PseudoColor" fixed the problem. I hope the above gives you a clue.
