DE500-XA is working fine. But DE500-AA doesn't work. Why?

The DE500-AA has auto-negotiation (NWAY). The DE500-AA was supported
first in V4.0A and V3.2G (it should say that on the cover letter of the
DE500).
For V3.2G, patch OSF375-048 is mandatory to work around a bug in the
21140A chip.
