| Hi,
I have put a sniffer and got some information. When the server host
answer to the bootp request, one packet is captured by the sniffer.
In the data field of the packet I can't see the name of the boot
file lps.sys, nor the gateway addr, nor the subnet mask...
The sequence in the server is the following:
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: sending reply to gateway 16.190.224.1
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: sending reply (with no options)
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: vendor magic field is 0.0.0.0
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: bootfile="/tftpboot/lps.sys"
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: file /tftpboot/lps.sys.lpsbsb not found
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: found 16.190.224.65 (08.00.2B.28.1C.FD) at (l
psbsb)
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: request from Ethernet address 08.00.2B.28.1C.
FD
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: bootptab mtime: Tue Jan 28 18:26:41 1997
Jan 29 17:03:30 ib003 bootpd[554]: recvd pkt from IP addr 16.254.198.2
Here you are the data contained in that packet, both in raw mode and
in 'protocol' mode, this is, divided in sections where you can find
the information related to each TCP/IP layer.

| Hello,
The problem is in that bootp between subnets does not work with the
LPS20, an upgrade to turbo LPS20 is needed and then, the firmware
version has to be at least 3.8.
But now I have the same problem with an LPS17, which theoretically
would have to work. You can see note 7077 on conference
ONTIME::POSTSCRIPT_PRINTING.
