| Is the while command implemented in Digital UNIX V4.0? I don't find it
listed in the index of the 'Command and Shell User's Guide', nor in man
on my DU V4.0 system.
Thanks

| Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the embryonic questions, but what is a
'shell builtin', and why don't I find 'while' documented anywhere?
Where _is_ it documented? I'm also looking for a 'for'command, but
don't see it documented anywhere, either.
Thanks!

8154.6 | Check man page for the shell of interest | SUBPAC::FARICELLI | | Thu Mar 13 1997 06:17 | 5 |

Look in the man pages for "sh", "csh", "ksh", etc. for documentation
on shell built-in commands.
