    	If you review the original entry you'll see that I alleged
    it was a CDE hang. Whatever component(s) of the operating system
    were responsible, it's scheduled to be fixed in V4.0D (or so I was
    told). BTW, it's not readily reproducible; you have to work at it.

8107.9CDE Hanging at loginNNTPD::"[email protected]"Bill Gardner (OSMS)Tue May 06 1997 12:1711
Does the foregoing exchange mean that I can't have NTP
installed?

I experience a hang just after login (as root) sometimes.
The CDE just sits there with "Starting Common..." etc.
and all the while I have mouse and hourglass position
control, but the CDE never starts. Fail-safe mode works
BTW...

-Thanks for any thoughts...Bill
