| Also, it depends what you mean by "translations". If you mean all you want to
define the mapping between O/R and SMTP addresses, to be used by the MAILbus 400
SMTP gateway, then you can use some reasonably clever rules within the gateway
(based on RFC-1327). If you do this, you don't need to define a specific
mapping for every individual user.
For example, on our system the SMTP domain x400.reo.dec.com maps to the O/R
address stem C=GB; A=gold 400; p=digital;o=digital;ou1=reo. Then the username
part of the SMTP address is mapped to CN or G+S. Simple and effective. This is
all explained in the MAILbus 400 SMTP gateway documentation.
But if you do want a specific SMTP address added to X.500 for every user, you
need to use a customised mapping script. I think one of the 'sample' scripts
supplied in the kit does this, so you can either use it as-is, or take the
relevant bits of code from it for use in your own script. See the Mail
Management Guide, and comments in the mapping scripts themselves.
Then, providing you have created an SMTP Gateway Entry and supplied the correct
domain name (MGT MXD MSG), ALL-IN-1's "MTS Populator" will add the necessary
foreign address and translation attributes to your MTS tree for the address.
These specific entries will then override the general translation rules
described above.

| Hye,
Thanks for your help, I made a mistake when modifying the mapping
script in use.
I have exactly followed all the directives of the ALL-IN-1 Mail Management
Guide, and now, translations addresses are automatically added when
I create an ALL-IN-1 account.
We need to do that in order to manage properly the existing synonimous
among about 2700 ALL-IN-1 accounts.
Best regards
