| BOLD and UNDERLINE are not displayed because the CDA character cell
formatter (and also the CDA TEXT back end) does not support these
attributes.
ALL-IN-1 does not require a Motif licence, but CDA does. Because ALL-IN-1
uses CDA it may appear that ALL-IN-1 needs a Motif licence. We had a CLD a
few months ago which was was transferred to the CDA group in Galway because
it was found that CDA looked for a Motif licence even when no DECwindows
code was being used, as is the case with ALL-IN-1's use of CDA.

| Riachard,
thanks for the quick reply.
It's a shame that BOLD and UNDERLINE don't come through, but i guess
that we will have to live with that.
On the Motif front, are you saying that for (,for example) the RTF
viewer to work, there shouldn't be any need for a Motif licence, but
that CDA (incorrectly?) checks that it is there? If this is the case
then who do i need to contact in the CDA group to get the issue solved.
My customer is currently under the impression that they will have to
purchase 150 or so Motif licences just to view RTF documents!
Cheers,
mb

Try contacting Alan Rockall in Galway who worked on the CLD after it was
transferred from IOSG to the CDA Engineering group.
I believe a new CDA$ACCESS shareable image was provided to fix the problem
which probably means that the Motif licence check was performed for any CDA
operation, and not just for specific converters such as RTF.

| Just to keep everyone in the picture ...
Alan Rockall is currently putting the finishing touches on a patch kit
for ALL-IN-1/CDA which will remove the (incorrect) test for a Motif
licence when using the RTF viewer. It should be available any day now.
