| There is a MailWorks transfer tool which will ship as part of Office
Server. It will work with ALL-IN-1 (and a MailWorks to ALL-IN-1
customer migration has already been successfully piloted).
Are you trying to move a particular user, or drawer, or what?

2684.2 | Move all drawers ! | STU03::STAEBLER | | Tue May 20 1997 12:58 | 13 |
| Hi Nigel,
my customer want to change from Mailworks to ALL-IN-1 V3.2 with
450 Mailworks Users (TeamLinks Clients). We want to move all
drawers with one procedure.
The other possibility is all users move the own drawers via
TeamLinks to the ALL-IN-1 FC.

Thomas

2684.3 | ALl drawers is OK | IOSG::DUTT | Nigel Dutt | Tue May 20 1997 15:27 | 5 |
| That's certainly one of the things the MailWorks-->Office Server tool
does. It can do it on the same VMS system, or between two different
systems on the network.
When does your customer want to do this?

I think it's at the end of June.
Another (and big) question: How expensive is this tool for the customer ?

2684.5 | How about Office Server in July | IOSG::DUTT | Nigel Dutt | Tue May 20 1997 16:45 | 19 |
| Office Server ships in July, and the migration tool is a (free) part of
it.
Officially the tool only supports migration to Office Server because
ALL-IN-1 V3.2 needs changes, including an update file cabinet server,
to work with it. Currently there is no plan to ship this because we
want to encourage the move to Office Server.
So the options are:
1. Upgrade the customer to Office Server (an easy upgrade from ALL-IN-1)
and migrate to that.
2. Lobby Dave Holt (the Product Manager) with the case for shipping an
ALL-IN-1 version.
See my presentation in the ALL-IN-1 public drawer for a lot more on
Office Server, including the migration tool and licensing upgrade
option for MAilWorks and ALL-IN-1 customers.
