| The Digital Office Server Web Interface V4.0 EFT is planned
to start on 23rd May. The Field Test Manager is Debbie Hellmann
(Debbie Hellmann @ REO). Field test site selection questionaires
have been sent to all customer sites who have requested to
participate.

The kit will be available to internal sites through a web
page. The page location will be published in the OS_WEB_INTERFACE
conference when the kit is available.
This product is supported for use with ALL-IN-1 V3.2 and
Office Server V4.0. The term "Office Server" refers to both
ALL-IN-1 and Office Server unless otherwise indicated.
A summary of the functionality to be provided by the
Digital Office Server Web Interface V4.0 is as follows:
Log On to Personal File Cabinet
===============================
DOSWI V4.0 allows a user to logon to the Office Server
and authenticate themselves by providing the server name,
account name and password(s). On successful logon the
user will be presented with the list of drawers in their
personal file cabinet. The ALL-IN-1 Web Interface V1.0
functionality allowed anonymous users to access drawers
with the WEB$ACCESS or *WORLD access rights. This feature
is also supported by DOSWI V4.0.
Additional Web Server Application Interfaces
============================================
DOSWI V4.0 supports access via Internet Server (ISAPI),
Netscape Server (NSAPI) and Common Gateway Interface
(CGI) compliant web servers.
Advanced Browsing Features
==========================
* List Available Drawers
A logged on user can list Office Server drawers to
which they have at least read access.
* Find Documents
This allows users to list documents within a
drawer or folder which match search criteria entered
by the user.
* List Drawers in File Cabinet
Lists the drawers of a logged on users file cabinet.
* Fetch New Mail
New mail will be fetched into the users Inbox when
the Mail Drawer or Inbox are listed.
* Read Mail Messages
In AWI V1.0 only the contents of a mail message could be
read. In DOSWI V4.0 the mail message attributes can also
* Sensitivity Download Options
The System Manager of the Web Server will be able to
restrict which messages the user is allowed to download
based on the messages sensitivity. For each sensitivity
level (Personal, Private, and Company Confidential)
options can be set to allow automatic download, a warning
before downloading or prohibit the download.
* WPS-PLUS Conversion
Options are provided to convert WPS-PLUS documents to either
text or HTML format before downloading.
* WORDPERFECT Conversion
An option is provided to convert WORDPERFECT documents to
HTML format before downloading.
Extension to Boilerplates
=========================
New boilerplates and boilerplate directives have been
added to support the new features and attributes. In
addition new special including directives and text in
boilerplates and displaying multi-valued attributes.
