2674.0. "ALL-IN-1 PTU ?" by LISVAX::RIBEIRO_N (NELSON RIBEIRO @XIP) Tue May 13 1997 15:50

I have a costumer who has recently installed an Epson printer and he would like
to change one of the drivers in order to print to it correctly. He said that he
usually was able to it with PTU, but a few months ago he migrated ALL-IN-1
to version 3.2 and now he cannot find it.

I am sure that someone has heard about this, but the problem is that I don't
know anything about ALL-IN-1 to help the customer.

Can someone help me, please?

Thanks,
NelsonR.

So is the question: "Where is PTU?" If so, then you get to it from
Customisation Management. Select option CM SCE SWC and put a 'Y' in the
PTU editor field. Then select the PRA/PRC file to be edited in
    Customisation Management and 'E'dit it.

PS Please spell ALL-IN-1 correctly, all in capitals. I have corrected
    the spelling in your note.

How can I access the Customisation Management? The costumer said that from the
system account in ALL-IN-1 he was not able to follow these steps. He said that
still he did get to the SWC by typing it directly from the ALL-IN-1 start menu.

I made a mistake by saying that the ALL-IN-1 version was 3.2, it's 3.1 .

Thanks for the help,
NelsonR.

<<<< How can I access the Customisation Management?

You just type 'CM' at the main menu. But you need to be in an account
that's allowed to use CM. It should work from the ALL-IN-1 Manager's
account. This usually means you login to the OpenVMS account 'ALLIN1'
and start ALL-IN-1 with the command 'ALLIN1/USER=MANAGER'.

That's the wrong SWC. You must go to CM, then type SCE SWC. I suggest
that the customer needs to read the Customisation Management books, I
think there's one called 'Getting Started' or 'Guide' thatmight be an
    introduction.

    Should be the same.
