Hi,
I'm having a problem logging into with TeamLinks 2.5-003 to
ALL-IN-1.
Is this the correct information you uses for login to TeamLinks
w/ ALL-IN-1 as the server:
Server: name of node or alias if a cluster (will either work)
ALL-IN-1 Account Name: First Name Last Name (both, for example:
Lynne Glickman
Username: OpenVMS account name (for example: GLICKMANL)
Password: OpenVMS account name password (OpenVMS account name
password associated with GLICKMANL)
The error I get with name of node or with an alias is:
Cannot connect to server node.
The file cabinet server is not running or there is a network connect
error.
Could the file cabinet server not be running or this is something I'm
missing in my setup of TeamLinks or with the login information?
Appreciating any responses.

Hi,
>> Server: name of node or alias if a cluster (will either work)
Yes, but if you are connecting over TCP/IP the cluster alias needs to be
set up on the IP side (typically UCX or whatever your IP solution is).
>> ALL-IN-1 Account Name: First Name Last Name (both, for example:
>> Lynne Glickman
No, this is incorrect. The ALL-IN-1 account name is the name that
appears as the key in your profile record. When using the VT, if you
log into your VMS account as GLICKMANL and then enter ALL-IN-1 by
simply typing "ALLIN1", then the ALL-IN-1 Account Name: is also
"GLICKMANL" (or this can actually be left blank if the same).
However, if you enter ALL-IN-1 with something like
"ALLIN1/USER=LYNNE.GLICKMAN" then the ALL-IN-1 Account Name: should be
LYNNE.GLICKMAN
>> Username: OpenVMS account name (for example: GLICKMANL)
>> Password: OpenVMS account name password (OpenVMS account name
>> password associated with GLICKMANL)
Yup, these two are correct.
>> The error I get with name of node or with an alias is:
>> Cannot connect to server node.
>> The file cabinet server is not running or there is a network connect
>> error.
OK, this would indicate that there's a network problem somewhere. See
if from your PC you can access anything on the designated node, and of
course that you have a File Cabinet Server running in the first place!
Also check that if you are connecting over TCP/IP (which I guess you
probably are), that there is a File Cabinet Server also running over
TCP/IP (the default IP port if 7373).
