We are working on an opportunity to consolidate four mixed-architecture ALL-IN-1 VMSclusters to a VMScluster of multiple 4-way 8400s (five is what the customer initially is asking us to look at) with 500GB of disk. This cluster will support 14,000+ ALL-IN-1 users. The customer is looking at a June/July migration to this new environment. The reason for this note is to request pointers to people within Digital who can assist with configuring this new VMScluster. What I'm looking for are people who have "Been there, Done that". The customer is looking to finalize the configuration and move on cutting a P.O. by the end of March '97. Thanks in advance. regards, Jim Mickol Senior Consultant SBU Tech Support 716.436.2565

Jim, You can contact Vagn Eisensee @DMO. He has moved up to 4000 users at a time from four different ALL-IN-1 systems running v2.4 and v3.1 to ALL-IN-1 v3.1 on a cluster consisting of two 8400 Alphas with remote Message Router on a VAX cluster. Elin |
