Re: Some CBI_ENGLISH files show invalid record formats
We had a disk drive go bad on us Friday. When doing an
analyze/disk/repair on it, the files listed below showed up as below.
When a read was attempted on them they gave "invalid record format"
messages.
**Please note: We recovered these files from old tapes and got the same
messages. We looked at these files on ODN's A1 V3.2 system and again
got the same messages. It is NOT all of the .scp files in CBI_ENGLISH.
%ANALDISK-I-BAD_RECATTR, file (302,1,1) [ALLIN1.CBI_ENGLISH]CBIARCOVR.SCP;3
file record format: Variable with fixed control
inconsistant file attributes: Print carriage control, Bit 4
%ANALDISK-I-BAD_RECATTR, file (386,1,1) [ALLIN1.CBI_ENGLISH]CBIEMCRLDEL.SCP;3
file record format: Variable with fixed control
inconsistant file attributes: Print carriage control, Bit 4
%ANALDISK-I-BAD_RECATTR, file (387,1,1)
I tried typing one of these out on our system and had similar errors.
Can someone explain why this is happening? I noticed the following:
Record format: VFC, 2 byte header, maximum 0 bytes, longest 80 bytes
Is that why we are receiving these errors?
Thanks,
Jean

| These files (and many more CBI scripts) were removed from the ALL-IN-1
kit in V3.0 and are no longer required.
Each ALL-IN-1 kit contains a command procedure
DELETE_OBSOLETE_FILES.COM which may be used to delete such removed
files from your system. This is not run automatically during the
upgrade in case any such removed files are referenced by
customisations.
Martin.
