Could someone point me in the right direction with this call. (this does not appear to be a problem caused by Teamlinks) A Teamlinks connection is made to user DOE.JOHN on an ALL-IN-1 V3.1 system. Whenever an attempt is made to Move-File a document from any of his folders in the MAIN drawer to the Local Mail Drawer, the following error is received: From Teamlinks Information Manager: "The operation was partially successful. Not all components of the operation were completed successfully." Basically, it does successfully Move the document to the Local drawer, but it does not successfully Delete the document in the MAIN drawer (so there are 2 copies...one in each drawer). The Teamlinks Copy-File command does complete successfully, because Copy does not delete the original document. (We tried making the Teamlinks connection from 3 different PCs, so it is not a Teamlinks problem. We also tried Teamlinks to different ALL-IN-1 accounts on the same system, and they all worked OK. It appears to be a problem with this specific account) Thanks.

2507.1 | S:RWED Access on files? | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Thu Feb 06 1997 07:59 | 2 |
SWAG: Check the account has S:RWED access on all the files and S:RWE on the directories. The FCS uses SYSPRV to mess with the files.
2507.2 | Partition or FILECAB? | ICS::BONVALLAT | Thu Feb 06 1997 15:31 | 8
I checked the file protections on both the files and directories, and all is OK there. I've been doing some reading, specifically Note 2251.3, and I wonder if it is worth reseeding the partition (removing and re-adding the Drawer). The partition field is "0::" but I have a feeling it is somehow related to this or the FILECAB.DAT file?
2507.3 | Took a shot and found solution | LOOKUP::BONVALLAT | Wed Feb 12 1997 21:11 | 5
The solution was: He had 2 partitions. He had MAIN and MAIN1 which both pointed to the same [.OA] disk area. I removed the MAIN1 partition and the MOVE FILE in TEAMLINKS worked without error. |
