Martin,
Does the account you're attempting to start the FCS with have the
OAFC$SYSMAN identifier ?
Kevin.

| Hi Kevin,
there are two accounts, oafc$default and oafc$server and neither has the
oafc$sysman identifier (although that identifier exists...). Which one is used
for the filecab server (where can I find the config data).
We are using a standard (new) installation of ALL-IN-1 here...
thanks, martin

| No, the important thing is whether the account that you are *logged
into* when you start the FCS has OAFC$SYSMAN.

2504.4 | still no go... | NETRIX::"[email protected]" | Martin Bodenstedt | Thu Feb 06 1997 15:47 | 21 |
| Hi,
we're starting the Server from the ALL-IN-1 manager's account which has the
oafc$sysman identifier.
The process itself starts up, is hibernating, does not produce an error
message. The moment ALL-IN-1 tries to update its CIB, the message mentioned
in .0 appears.
In case it matters: we're running DECnet OSI to support X.400 on the machine.
The problem with the server seems to have started with the registration and
loading of the A1-DIST-SHARE license...
We also have UCX running for the purveyor web server and the awi interface.
Does the installation of the Web Interface (for VMS) do anything to the file
cab server ???
still baffled, Martin

| Hi Martin,
I had a lot of problems with the 'invalid authentication' message
from FCS. Have a look at #368 where I ran into the same problems.
Mostly it's a fault in the DNS configuration, that the backlinks or
the phase iV towers are not setup correctly or lost.
After reloading DNS everything works pretty fine.
So maybe this can help you a little bit more.
