ALL-IN-1 V3.0a A customer has an aplication which creates a file mail$dir:mail_file.txt (this file name is a constant and each time the application is run a new file with this SAME name is created) and then invokes a script which issues: mail/create/nosend/file=mail$dir:mail_file.txt The application has been in use, but recently some users have been receiving the following error: oa-w-cab_used I suggested that she modify her application to create a more unique file name. Why might the users be receiving this error? Thanks, Cb.

Searching the code, this status is returned from a number of places, but the most likely would appear to in OA$CAB_CREATE, where it is returned if the provided file name already exists. Did their application previously delete the temporary file? This doesn't appear to be (remotely!) new code. Other possibilities are that it is returned if the routine to make up a file name fails, but that doesn't seem to fit your case. |
