| If it's still in V3.2, then I conclude that it wasn't fixed :-)
I doubt that there's a patch for the problem, but you should check in
the usual places. TM isn't being developed any more, so I would expect
that the position would be that the functionalty isn't supported when
using SMU.

1535.4 | What can user do ???? | TAV02::CHAIM | Semper ubi Sub ubi ..... | Mon May 05 1997 10:24 | 17 |
| I believe I have just also discovered this problem, BUT before I discovered
THIS note I entered my own note. So perhaps the moderator can transfer my base
note as a reply to this note.

What can I tell the user do BEFORE issuing SMU in order to insure tha CAL INIT
FILES is issued and we can use this as a workaround?
Thanks,
Cb.

1535.5 | Why does prob mysteriously disappear | TAV02::CHAIM | Semper ubi Sub ubi ..... | Mon May 05 1997 12:02 | 17 |
| After reading this note I used COMET to access the still open IPMT and a CHAMPS
article also describing this problem. The CHAMPS article also stated that the
problem "mysteriously" disappeared, which is what appears has happened to my
customer as well.
Does anyone know what causes the problem to "mysteriously" disappear.
At any rate, I told my customer that this problem had already been reported (so
she doesn't get any prize) and in fact is still awaiting resolution. The good
news is that if and when the problem reappears, the user can workaround it by
previously issuing TM SO.
Still, I'm very curious as to why the problem appears and then disappears...
Thanks,
Cb.

1535.10 | | IOSG::MAURICE | Back in the egg | Tue May 06 1997 09:12 | 13 |
| Hi,
The cause of the problem in V3.2 is indeed CALENDAR INITIALIZE FILES,
where the code is accessing an uninitialised variable. Our tests showed
the ACCVIO in V3.2 occuring but not in V3.1, but it has been reported
as occuring in V3.1. There were other problems in V3.0 which were fixed
in V3.1, which are more likely to be the cause of your problem.
We hope that a patch for V3.2 will be made available soon.
Cheers
Stuart

The patch Stuart refers to will with any luck be released by the end of
this week. It's ICF 13, which will also be a cumulative patch of a few
bug fixes for V3.2.
