1164.1 | Page Sizing for prints after upgrade (Moved from 2668) | KERNEL::BURDENI | | Thu May 08 1997 11:46 | 25 |
| I have a customer who seems to have the same problem as Note 1164
They have just upgraded from version 3.1 of ALL-IN-1 to Version 3.2 and have
encountered the following problems.
Some users could not access some of fax templates. they were getting a
merge error with oa$site_lib_llv:theformname.wpl
They managed to get around that problem by giving w:RE access to the
WPL forms but think that one of the library files must have the wrong
protection as the post installation com file does not give RE
access to these files.
Another related problem is the printing of the forms. There seems to
be a problem in the picking up of printing formats defined within a
document ie printer format manual feed or printer format portrait 66.
The printouts are starting about a third of the page down and
compressing the documents into 45 lines ignoring any formatting
command statements. They have got round this by changing the Page
length to 70.
All printers are DEClaser variants, and they are using DCPS 1.3.
Any ideas on what is happening here ?
Ivan.

1164.3 | Don't know about the protections but... | IOSG::ELLIOTTR | Russell Elliott | Thu May 08 1997 12:40 | 15 |
| Ivan,
Regarding the printing:
The first thing to check is whether the problem is something to do with
the merging. If you manually create a document with the same control
block settings does the printing problem still occur?
If there _is_ a general problem then could you give me an example
document for me to look at (also, which Print Style is the customer
using?). If it looks like a problem with the merging then I'm a bit
stuck for ideas. A copy of the merged WPS-PLUS file may be useful.
Cheers,
Russ.

<<<< I have a customer who seems to have the same problem as Note 1164
So why not make it reply to that note?
<<<< They have just upgraded from version 3.1 of Allin1
I think you mean ALL-IN-1...
