Is anyone still here? I have driven a '77 VW Beetle conv. for about a year, now, and I'm interested in upgrading the ignition to a Jacobs BugPak. It's a combination electronic controller/variable permeability coil that costs ~$250. It's a lot like an MSD ignition. I only want it to make the car run cleanly (it eliminates nearly all misfires if you believe the brochures) and increase the gas mileage. It claims 20% improvement. Anyone have any experience with them? Dan

Dan, I don't have any experience with that iginition setup, but from reading the
type-3 mailing list, I've seen a few T3 people have installed them. It seems
like them, but I can't say if they meet all the claims.
